Mole Change

Question…

Mole Change?

I accidentley scratched a skin tag/mole today. It has always been light brown in colour and now it has a slight black tinge to one side of it, only after a few hours? I’m not sure if it was like that before but it wasnt last time I checked and I check it regularly. Is it possible I just damaged it and thats the reason for the discolouration? Or should I visit the doctors? It hasnt changed in size….please help

i’ve heard that when stuff like that happens with moles, you have to go see a doctor about it.

I am sure it’s just bleeding or bruised check it every day for the next several days if it changes or worsens call the MD if it heals keep an eye on it – I’d have it looked after just the same -but it isn’t urgent today, just be cautious -
Bring it up the next time at the MD (if this heals on its own)
as a mole you find suspicious -

This could be beneath the surface dried blood (will appear blackened) keep your eye on it for any changes (rising above skin surface, size, coloration) if you are really concerned, see a dermatologist. I did the same thing and had mine checked out, turned out okay, just irritated- but you should have your moles checked once every 1-2 yrs anyhow depending on your age.

PS: If you have been in the sun after this happened, that can make it turn strange in color as well.
